Description
C-terminal decapeptide fragment of metastin (KP-10). Studied in GnRH-signalling, reproductive-endocrinology, and KISS1R receptor research.
- 10 amino acid C-terminal fragment of metastin (kisspeptin-54)
- C-terminally amidated — the amide is required for KISS1R binding
- Studied in GnRH-pulse and gonadotropin-release research
- Investigated in reproductive-endocrinology and puberty-onset models
- Research Grade purity >=98%
Kisspeptin-10 (KP-10, metastin 45-54) is the C-terminal decapeptide fragment of kisspeptin-54, the product of the KISS1 gene, identified by CAS number 374675-21-5. It is the shortest fragment that retains full activity at the KISS1R (GPR54) receptor, and the C-terminal amide is required for that binding — which is why the research-grade peptide is supplied amidated rather than as the free acid. Kisspeptin-10 has been extensively characterised in preclinical models of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, where it acts upstream of GnRH-releasing neurons. Research has investigated its role in GnRH pulse generation, downstream LH and FSH release, the timing of pubertal onset, and metabolic gating of reproductive function. It is also studied in tumour-metastasis models, reflecting the original identification of the KISS1 gene as a metastasis suppressor. Kisspeptin-10 is supplied as a lyophilised white powder with a molecular weight of 1302.45 Da and molecular formula C63H83N17O14. Supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. Not for human or veterinary consumption.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Kisspeptin-10 legal to buy in Australia?
Kisspeptin-10 is supplied strictly as a research chemical for in-vitro laboratory use. It is not approved for human therapeutic use in Australia and is not for human or animal consumption. Researchers are responsible for compliance with Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regulations and their institution's protocols.
What purity is Kisspeptin-10?
We specify ≥98% purity — the High-Tier Research Grade (commercial RUO) standard. Every batch is analysed in-house by HPLC and mass spectrometry and ships with a Certificate of Analysis; select batches also undergo independent, third-party purity verification.
Does Kisspeptin-10 ship with a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
Yes — every batch ships with a batch-specific COA documenting HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity. 1 Kisspeptin-10 batch certificate is published in full at australianpeptidelabs.com.au/certificates/kisspeptin, so the analysis can be read before ordering and the batch number printed on the vial matched against it.
Where can I buy Kisspeptin-10 in Australia?
Kisspeptin-10 can be ordered here from Australian Peptide Labs for in-vitro research use, dispatched same day from within Australia with a COA included.
Do you provide dosing or administration guidance for Kisspeptin-10?
No. As these compounds are supplied for laboratory research only, we do not provide dosing or administration protocols. Our research library covers reconstitution and concentration calculations for in-vitro work.
