DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide with the sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu, identified by CAS number 62568-57-4. It was first isolated from the cerebral venous blood of rabbits in an induced sleep state. Research has examined its activity in neuromodulation, slow-wave sleep and circadian rhythm models, as well as its interactions with stress-response and neuroendocrine signalling.
